Sensational actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan is rocking all over with his latest film Jalsa with record breaking collections raising everyone’s eye-brows. B Gopal to direct Ram for MS Raju’s film

Ram, who shot into fame overnight with his film ‘Devadasu’ directed and produced by on the banner of Bommarillu with Ileana in the lead. However, his second film failed to reach the expectations. Now he is getting ready to come before the audiences with his latest film ‘Ready’ (Denikaina) directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by Ravikishore on the banner of Sravanti Movies with Genelia in the female lead.
Even as the film is on sets, Ram signed the dotted line for another film under the direction of senior director B Gopal for a film to be produced by MS Raju. The producer is likely to make an announcement about the film on May 10 with the formal launch of shooting. Hansika might play the female lead. Stay tuned for more details.

Kantri’s release postponed to May 9th

It is well aware that NTR is playing hero, while Hansika Motwani and Tanisha are playing the female leads in ‘Kantri’ being directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by C Aswanidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies. According to insider reports, the film had come out excellently and it would be a complete entertainer. The shooting of the film was complete and the post-production works are also nearing completion.
There is a song in the film which goes like… ‘Vayassunami…’ in which the hero, NT Rama Rao would dance for about one full minute by standing on a single leg. The audiences in general and the NTR fans in particular know very well that NTR is one of the best dancers among the young heroes and this song would definitely rob the hearts of audiences. Let us wait and watch how NTR performed in that song in the next 10 days.

As scheduled earlier Kantri may not be released on May 7th due to the ongoing postproduction work. The film will be for release on May 9th

Tarun to work under Krishnavamsi’s direction

Creative director Krishnavamsi, who gave several hits earlier was in the dark for quite some time after successive failures. However, he revived his past glory by bringing out a hit like ‘Chandamama’ in recent times. Now, this talented director is planning to direct a film for Sunkara Madhu Murali with Tarun as hero. In fact it is a good news for Tarun, who just had a smile with an average run of his recent release ‘Bhale Dongalu’.

There is a queue for movie releases in May. Four big releases are hitting into theaters. Balakrishna to contest in 2009 Elections

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna declared that he is ready to contest the coming Assembly elections as a Telugu Desam candidate. He said it is up to the TD high command to decide on whether to give him a ticket or a party post. Speaking to a local news channel here, Balakrishna said he would wait for an appropriate time to formally announce his entry into politics.

Balakrishna, who with his brother, Mr Nandamuri Harikrishna, has been convinced by the Telugu Desam chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, to put aside bitter differences and support the latter’s Mee Kosam rath yatra, addressed a public meeting organised by the TD before unveiling a statue of his father, the late N.T. Rama Rao, at the mandal headquarters of G. Konduru near here.

The event was loaded with political significance as TD men joined hands with the actor’s fans. Till now, TD activists never worked with Balakrishna or his aides. According to sources, TD leaders had planned to hold a big rally to mark the occasion. Responding to a question, Balakrishna refused to give his views on superstar Chiranjeevi’s launch of a political party, saying only, “Everybody has the right to float a party.”

“Walking for 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of jogging is the secret of my sensuous body. “I’m very particular when it comes to fitness. If I miss out on my daily workouts, I feel very guilty. Pandurangadu audio relesed

Audio of Balakrishna's Pandurangadu released in Machilipatnam of Krishna dist. This is the place that has a temple of Panduranga Swamy. The function is held in the evening. This became a day trip for Balakrishna in the Krishna Dist. He made a quick stop in the morining to unveil a statue of NTR.

The function is attended by Balakrishna, K.Raghavendra Rao, K.Viswanath, Sneha, Suhasini, Veda (Archana), JK Bharavi and others. Krishna dist collector Sailaja released the audio of the film.

Award winning writer Sudhala Ashokteja wrote Hey Krishna and Amma song in the film. He spoke and excited the audience with his talk. He referred to Balakrishna as Balakrishna through his talk and then said, 'Normally we should say Balakrishna garu but there is a strong reason behind why I referred to him as Balakrishna. We refer to Lord SriRama as Ramudu and not Ramudu garu.. Lord Krishna as Krishnudu and not Krishnudu garu.. Lord Venkateswara as Venkateswarudu and not Venkateswara garu. Similarly I referred to Venditera Ilavelpu Balakrishna as Balakrishna'. He further added that the film will show Balakrishna's Viswaroopam as both Vitudu and Vitaludu.

Heroine Sneha, who is playing the lead heroine in the film, thanked the makers for giving her yet another opportunity to work with him. 'I am sure this film will become good hit like Sri Ramadasu. the film came out very well', said Sneha.

Director K.Viswanath, who is playing the father to Balakrishna in the film, said: 'It is very interesting working in the direction of K.Raghavendra Rao. Usually there is a feeling that K.Raghavendra Rao is deft in directing romantic songs. But this film will prove the depth in his directing the devotional song. Especially, the song that comes in the climax will touch anyone'. Siva Parvati, who is playing mother to Balakrishna in the film, thanked the makers for the opportunity. Clippings of the songs were played during the event. While the Amma song is played, Sudhala Ashokteja was in tears. An emotional Balakrishna hugged Sudhala Ashokteja. Also during a song rendered by a kid, all the people on the dias turned emotional and blessed the boy.

Finally, Balakrishna started his speech with Namo Krishna sloka from Panduranga Mahatyam (old film). He thanked the audience for their support to the Nandamuri family. He then offered his salutations to his father. He talked about the lacking of quality in the present trend of music. He also referred to the daily routine life and how the parents are ignored. 'After listening to these songs, I am sure people will go back to their parents. Telugu audience will always love novelty. I am always for novelty. I did that in Aditya 369, Bhairawadweepam and now Pandurangadu. I hope this film will entertain all my fans. Novelty in the industry started with NTR. Jackie Chan releases Dasavataram Audio

Hollywood action superstar Jackie Chan landed in Chennai to release the music of a Tamil Film 'Dasavathaaram'. Reports from Chennai said that Jackie Chan was given a warm welcome by his Chennai fans. On being asked by reporters how he felt to be in Chennai, Jackie Chan replied that he was "feeling proud".
The Hollywood action superstar's fans thronged Chennai in hundreds. The movie's producer, V. Ravichandran, managed to persuade Chan to do the honours since he holds the rights for releasing Jackie Chan's movies in India. Jackie Chan released the music of the film at the Nehru Indoor Stadium here. The film is Kamal Haasan's most ambitious project so far.
Haasan has acted in the film and written its story, screenplay and dialogues. K.S. Ravikumar has directed the movie. The film's other stars are Mallika Sherawat, Asin, Jaya Prada. Kamal Hassan plays 10 unusual characters. The current heartthrob, Himesh Reshammiya, has scored the music for the film, his first ever for a Tamil production. Bujjigadu, Prabhas’s latest film with Puri Jaganannath is ready to hit the theatres mid-May. The audio of the film has hit the market few days ago.
Sandeep Chowta joined hands again with Puri for this film that scored “Super” music for him in the past. Bujjigadu is typical Sandeep Chowta album which is peppy but sadly it fell short of the expectations. Talaiva and Love Me songs are definitely not of Sandeep’s standards. Sudu sudu Lachimi is ok after repeated hearings so is Dhadak Dhadak. Guchchi Guchchi and Chitti aayire are somewhat good compared to the other songs. It will be a big test for the ears if one searches for lyrics in all the songs. Beats dominated all the songs and the singers are pathetic with Telugu pronunciation. Youth might like this music but it doesn’t offer anything for mass or melody number lovers. Only the picturization should lift the songs value...

Gunde Jallu Mandhi - shaping up great

United Movies Banner organized a press meet to announce on their latest film Gunde jallumadhi that is almost done with production. Directed by Madan, the film has Udaykiran, Aditi Sharma in the lead. Udaykiran, Madan, Aditi Sharma, Keeravani, cinematographer Prabhakar, fight master Ganesh, lyricist Chaitanya Prasad and producer Sivarama Prasad attended the pressmeet. The makers said that they did not want to talk about the film until the production is done and the product is ready to release. Talking about the film, Madan said, 'The film is about a college going guy and a girl. IT is a cute lovestory. I thank producer for the continuous support he extended during the production. For love stories, music is the soul. Keeravani gave excellent score for this film. I am sure the audio will be a big hit. ' Keeravani said that only few films will demand complete involvement of the music director and this film is of that kind. 'I play these songs every day at home. I am very happy to have worked for this film. Heroes fall in two categories. One who has good sense of music like Pawan, Mahesh etc. Second category of folks dont have much music sense. Udaykiran fits in the first category. Udaykiran termed this film as a golden opportunity. This is the first film for Aditi Sharma and she expressed her confidence that she will get good recognition witht his role.

Bellamkonda to make a film with Pawan.

Bellamkonda Suresh who made films like Channakeshav Reddy with Balakrishna is planning a film with Pawan Kalyan.
Bellamkonda is said have narrated storyline to Allu Arvind and Arvind confirmed the film on behalf of Pawan.
This film will go on floors after Puli of SJ Surya. But Pawan is supposed to do a film for RB Chowdary after Puli.
We have to wait and see- How Pawan is going to adjust the dates.

PARUGU is Bound To Rock The Box-Office

Lucky mascot Dil Raju's Parugu is getting ready to woo the movie goers on May 1st. A press meet was arranged to announce the release date and Dil Raju, Bhaskar and Allu Arjun spoke about the film on the event.

Dil Raju said, "Although we had plans to release the film in the last week of April, we had to shift the release date to 1st May following the request from Chiranjeevi gaaru. He did not want the films of family heroes to clash with each other and hence wanted a gap of at least a month between the two films Jalsa and Parugu. I am very confident to say that my combination with Bhaskar and Allu Arjun would repeat the gimmicks as both of them were a hit under my banner that is Allu Arjun with Aarya and Bhaskar with Bommarillu. Mani Sharma's music will be an added flavor to the film as all the songs are situational bound and would stay in the audience mind for ever. We have completed the postproduction work and are ready to release the film on May 1st. This film is bound to rock the box-office undoubtedly.

Bhaskar said, "I'm very lucky to work with Dil Raju and Allu Arjun. Though I've given a block-buster before, this film being the second one has increased my responsibility. I'm fully convinced after seeing the final output because I could make the film the way I visualised. Allu Arjun's performance is mind-blowing in this film and will be a stepping stone for his future. I sketched his characterization in such a way that there would be lot of scope for him to perform. Tollywood awaits big game in May

Tollywood awaits big game in May Telugu film industry, which has clearly missed the business in the first quarter of this year, barring a good run for a couple of films, is all set for big releases in May, the month considered the harbinger of the summer dhamaka. In all a business of nearly Rs. 75 Crores is involved. On May Day (May 1st), Allu Arjun-Sheela starrer Parugu is releasing in a big way. Directed by Bhaskar (of Bommarillu fame) and produced by Dil Raju is releasing after a gap of 15 months in Allu Arjun’s career (after Desamuduru in Jan 2007). It is closely followed by Kantri, NTR’s starrer on May 7th, releasing with nearly 400 prints. The release date is also officially announced by its producer Ashwini Dutt. Thirdly, Prabhas's film Bujjigadu - Made In Chennai will be hitting screens on May 16th. At the peak of the summer season, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s bio-periodic film Pandurangadu in the direction of ace K. Raghavendra Rao is releasing on May 30th. Tollywood business circles hope that these big four would compensate the losses for the industry.

N.t.r,Vinayak film launched

Kodali Nani had earlier produced ‘Samba’ in the combination of NTR and VV Vinayak on the banner of Kodali Movies. The trio joined hands again for the latest project. However, this project is being taken up on the banner of Vaishnavi Arts with Vallabhaneni Vamsimohan as producer. The shooting of the film was formally launched with puja activities at Film Nagar Cultural Club. True to the saying in Telugu ‘Ye thaanulo mukka aa thaanulo kalustundi’, Balakrishna attended the function as chief guest. For the first time Balakrishna attended the launch of NTR’s film and gave the clap for the muhurat shot. The function had many other young and senior stalwarts from the Telugu film industry like, SS Rajamouli and Raghavendra Rao, with the former switching on the camera and the latter taking up the honorary direction of the debut shot.
Speaking on the occasion, NTR says, ‘I am very glad to work with Vinayak. It is very easy for me to work with him as he was like my brother and always wishes my welfare and about the success of my film. Moreover, Kodali Nani is our family friend and he is also my well-wisher. In fact, I know nothing about this project and I will let you know after I get details about the flick. My forthcoming film ‘Kantri’ would be another good movie in my career and I am confident that all my fans would enjoy the film a lot. Moreover, I am sure that ‘Kantri’ would double my image. My director Meher Ramesh’s working style is praiseworthy. I am also thankful to Dasarath, who was also associated with vinayak's project.’

Sadhu is going to be launch on may 10

The new film of Nandamuri Balakrishna titled Sadhu in the direction of Gunasekhar is going to be launched on May 10, sources said. MS Raju is the producer. Interestingly, all the three – Balakrishna, MS Raju and Gunasekhar are not having hits these days. The subject is said to a serious one with lots of action, dealing with current affairs. Currently, Balakrishna is doing Pandurangadu with K. Raghavendra Rao; and the film is expected to release on May 30th.

Kantri director with Ravi Teja

Director Meher Ramesh, who now awaits the result of his debut film Kantri with NTR, is going to direct Ravi Teja in a forthcoming film soon. Ramesh and Ravi Teja cherish good friendship as the former worked for several of latter’s films as assistant director. He has already directed two hit films in Kannada. He would also be directing a film in Telugu, which is said to be the remake of Ajit’s blockbuster in Tamil – Billa. Currently, Ravi Teja is working for a film with Suresh Babu as producer and Uday Shankar directing it.

Congress ticket for comedian

Comedian Venu Madhav was in the eyes of Congress party leaders. He hails from Karimnagar Kamalapuram constituency and also did some social service there earlier. Keeping this in mind, they have decided to give MLA ticket for him. Venu Madhav has also shown lot of interest.
But it is unfortunate that dowry and harassment case were filed on Venu madhav long back. His wife gave a complaint on him a few years ago and that made Venu Madhav, a man with criminal background.
Hence ticket cannot be given to him and Congress stepped back. We heard that 'there will be a woman behind the success of every man'. But here Venu Madhav's wife is behind his failure.
